Suicide is the leading cause of death for young Alaskans. The youth mental health crisis has created darkness in so many lives, but we are here to ensure no one stands alone. VOA Alaska is on the front lines, standing as a beacon of hope. Will you join us?
At this year’s Spring Arts Social, join us to hear from inspiring youth, meet the committed VOA Alaska team, and learn more about the impact VOA Alaska has had on generations of Alaskans.
For over 40 years, VOA Alaska has been serving youth and their families struggling with substance misuse and mental health challenges.
Our featured program this year is Day Treatment, a unique program in the state of Alaska providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment to help youth aged 14-18 overcome barriers in their continued recovery.
Combined into a school setting, Day Treatment empowers youth in their development and practice of interpersonal and group skills, strengthening recovery skills, and remaining integrated (or reintegrate) into their community, family, and school relationships.
